Which institution does this guide cover?

Pimpri Chinchwad University is the university at Sate, Maval, in Pune district. Its School of Engineering & Technology is the subject of this guide. PCU is not Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE) or PCCOER at Ravet. Those colleges’ CAP codes, SPPU affiliation, cutoffs and placement records do not describe a PCU B.Tech offer.

University identity, programme permission and accreditation are separate checks. This guide does not claim a current NAAC grade or NBA accreditation for every B.Tech branch; applicable certificates and validity periods have not been verified here.

Engineering courses and programme details

The university’s 2026–27 admission page lists these five engineering options. The amounts below are per annum, not a four-year package. A verified branch-wise sanctioned intake or current vacancy matrix has not been established for this guide.

Eligibility and admission process

PCU’s current official B.Tech admissions landing page states a minimum of 45% in the qualifying examination, or 40% for reserved-category candidates. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory at 10+2, with one permitted additional subject. Listed options include Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, IT, Biology, Biotechnology, a technical vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies or Entrepreneurship.

The same page lists MHT-CET, JEE, PERA, CUET, other state/national engineering entrance examinations or the PCU Entrance Test, followed by merit-based selection. This describes first-year admission; the separate lateral-entry criteria on PCU’s main admissions page must not be substituted.

Checked on 13 October 2026. The landing page does not print an academic year beside the threshold. An older engineering brochure named “2026” contains different 60%/55% wording and refers to 2025 entrance examinations; it cannot safely override the current admissions page. Confirm the applicable intake and mark calculation in the university’s admission offer.

Fees: session, category and inclusions

The programme table above records the published annual academic fees. Hostel, meals, refundable deposits and other compulsory charges have not been established as included. No fixed four-year tuition total is inferred from a single annual figure.

Hostel and mess

PCU maintains an official hostel-facilities page for its campus. A dated 2026–27 room tariff, mess charge and deposit breakdown has not been verified here. Confirm the Sate residence, room occupancy and allocation before budgeting; do not substitute a PCCOE or PCCOER hostel schedule.

Cutoffs and how to read them

No verified PCU programme-wise, category-wise historical closing-score table is available in the sources checked for this guide. A qualifying mark is not a closing cutoff. PCCOE and PCCOER CAP results cannot be used as PCU cutoffs; admission requires the university’s own selection decision.

Curriculum and campus comparison

The CSE programme page outlines computing fundamentals, programming, algorithms, AI and cybersecurity. Its first-year syllabus includes mathematics, science, basic electrical/electronics topics and workshop learning. CSE, AI-focused programmes and Mechatronics represent different study paths: choose according to the actual subjects and laboratory work, not only the specialisation label. The Sate campus location also makes a residence or commute comparison useful.

Placement evidence and reporting scope

The School of Engineering & Technology publishes recruitment-related information, but a completed B.Tech batch report with branch-level student counts and salary definitions has not been verified for this guide. PCET-group or PCCOE placement headlines are not PCU B.Tech outcomes. A recruiter listing alone does not establish the proportion of a class placed.

Campus Mantra can help you compare the documented admission route, preferred branch and available budget. Bring your entrance scorecard, Class 12 subject marks and the fee notice for your proposed seat category. Keep refundable deposits separate from tuition and add accommodation only when you have a residence quotation.

COMMON QUESTIONS

PCU Pune engineering: FAQs

Which campus does PCU Pune refer to?

Pimpri Chinchwad University is the university at Sate, Maval, in Pune district. Its School of Engineering & Technology is the subject of this guide. PCU is not Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE) or PCCOER at Ravet. Those colleges’ CAP codes, SPPU affiliation, cutoffs and placement records do not describe a PCU B.Tech offer.

Which admission year do these numbers describe?

Academic fee figures are labelled for the 2026–27 session or entering batch. Any different year or undated source is identified in its section. This university guide does not provide a verified branch-wise historical closing-score series; eligibility must not be read as a cutoff. No 2027–28 fee schedule is confirmed here.

Does the listed fee include hostel and mess?

Read the academic and residence sections separately. An academic total does not include accommodation unless the cited schedule explicitly says so. Category concessions also require the applicable documents and approval.

Can Campus Mantra guarantee admission?

No. Campus Mantra provides independent guidance; admission decisions and allotments belong to the college, university and relevant authorities.

Sources and editorial review

Eligibility and programme/fee evidence rechecked on 13 October 2026; other section-specific sources retain their stated years. Each fee, intake and cutoff retains its own academic year and scope.
